J.AKERS

A Seattle native, Jessica Akers is currently based in Berlin, Germany.

In 2018,  she graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance, with Concentrations in Modern and Choreography.

Since moving to Berlin, she has had the opportunity to perform in various venues across Europe. Her credits include "OH-2" created by Christine Bonansea Saulut (Premiered with Dock11), "A, My Name Is" created by Stefanie Nelson (Performed with Teatro della Pietra in Bergolo, Italy & SPAM! rete per le arti contemporanee in Lucca, Italy) and “Les Vêpres Siciliennes” choreographed by Caroline Finn (Premiered with Theater Bonn).

As a creator herself, Jessica has composed various solo works "idiom4." (2021) "idiom3." (2018) "mybodyismycanvas." (2018) "idiom2." (2017)  and commissioned works for Westlake Performing Group in Seattle, Washington "alldirections." (2018) "unluck." (2017) "stolen." (2017) "shift." (2016)
